The first time I heard that a girl I know was on Seeking Arrangements, a sugarbaby/daddy site, it blew my mind. This wasn't a girl I expected to be on something like that.
Now from what i understand, half the damn girls in college or in early 20s are on sites like that. Not to mention OnlyFans.
The stigma around sex work isn't close to the same as it is with this younger generation.
If it was legal, I'm sure a lot more girls than people even realize would be in on it than people expect.

You are suggesting there are plenty of legal ways to do this currently (there are, and always have been, and always will be), but that there is a certain way of doing this that is illegal and we must make that way legal, and that should correct a lot of problems with it
I think you are ignoring the taboo of "that way" and thinking the legal impediment is the biggest issue.
