The Chiefs took him with their last pick of the draft. Outstanding move with little risk and huge upside. I hope mainly for his own sake and health the blood clots are a thing of the past. Trey reported through a draft day interview with local media that he has been clean of it for some time now, good news. It's good to see the Chiefs actually draft a huge lineman as Trey is an absolute mauler. Just curious on what you guys think of this pickup beings he comes from your team and know him better. Any insights?

The steal of the draft IMO.

I don’t think Trey is a risk at all at the level it was hyped ( we proved that he adapts well) but I think that other teams were unwilling to adapt to his condition and how it was managed. He is a first day pick without the scare but that’s a risk that could get sidelined. The Chiefs are going to look like fricking geniuses very soon. Picking Smith required trusting his ability to self motivate if he continues to manage things the way we handled him but there’s no doubt among those who have watched him closely that his work ethic is outstanding. He’s a guy that would succeed outside of football in almost any field.
