Look, I'm not a huge stan apologists, I have a lot of issues with his offense not having an answer to a simple zone d, all the bad decision making, but a lot of this shite is on the players/Griff too, maybe even more so than Stan:

The Knicks game when he told them to foul and Eric didn't.

Hayes early in the season couldn't switch on defense. He looked awful.

BI is still terrible on defense

Zion not playing well on defense.

Griffin traded for Adams

The general lack of effort and bad decision making by Eric and Lonzo

JJ falling apart/Griff not trading him when he should have

Losing Josh Hart during the most pivotal part of the season

Not playing Kira and NAW enough is on Stan(a lot of that is JJ being terrible though)

Stan gets credit for point Zion, and some of his sets make sense unlike Gentryball, but we don't have 3 guys in this league that can hit 3s, which I feel like you have to have, and Griff gave him no league ready point guard.

It's a total failure on the front office if two of NAW Kira and Hayes and Naji don't turn into good starters/fringe all stars. And we still have 2 years before that happens.

Some people want to look at everything positive even when the writing is on the wall.

It ain’t positive.

A lot of truth in your post. I refuse to give Stan Credit for Point Zion though. Zion has basically been playing point for 15 years (minus Duke a first year in the nba). Also, Griff gave a lot of hints both last hear and this year about them seeing Zion more as a point than a post player. Scooby Doo could’ve been the coach this year and we were going to see more of Point Zion.

Zion is so damn good in the post, off cut/curl action, and pick and rolls that I think the best way to play it is probably letting Zion play pure point 20-25% of the time. That way our offense becomes less predictable and easy to guard. If we come down and do the same thing 40 times in a row, the other team gets better at executing their wall defense. We have to keep the other team on their toes.

Everyone you said is spot on.

This team has many holes.

I don't think stan is some great coach but i dont think he is the worst either.
Next year will tell us what we need to know.

If things go bad next year he is gone.

Yes, Griffin made that blunder. However, Stan continues to play him late in games when it does not make sense. He also makes simple coaching errors like not advancing the ball when obvious at ends of games. His rotations are questionable. I would imagine we are stuck with him for another season before we finally try to find a coach that fits this team.
