That translates into approximately 80% of adults.

Daily COVID deaths in Israel drop to zero for the first time in 10 months

A milestone worth celebrating with a thread. More than 60 percent of the Israeli population has now received at least one dose and almost 58 percent are fully vaccinated. And most of those who aren’t are children, of course, who are less likely to develop severe cases if infected.

Things are going so well that the health minister believes they won’t need to vaccinate anyone under 12, as they’ll be able to reach herd immunity without kids.

Israel has its sheet together.

You understand there are a lot of people not eager to get a COVID vaccination that are not remotely antivaxx, right?

Sure. But I'd say that their reservations aren't really backed by any strong science either.

I was thinking more along the lines of Israel as compared to, say, India.

I think most of the folks you refer to as “anti-vax morons” in the US aren’t anti-vaccine, as much as they’re anti- the COVID vaccine.

If we're going by strong science i would like to go back to when these..."experts" (who dont even hear out university studies and real Doctors) said only elderly and medical workers and immune compromised needed it.

Some are both, some are only specifically opposed to the COVID vaccines

Their justification for being only opposed to the COVID vaccine usually leaves a lot to be desired

No one has said that they are the only ones that need it

They just need it more than others

Well, I'm sure they're going to be really upset to learn some dork on a message board thinks their reasons for not bothering with a vaccine for a virus they have ZERO concern about are not founded in strong science.

When did it become "strong science" to vaccinate people for shite they're not at risk for and pose no risk to anyone that is at risk?

I don't know. But they have no reason not to be.

Because the second part of your statement is false?

Perhaps people believe what Saint Fauci said just 12 months ago about any vaccine developed in under 18 months wouldn’t be safe.

CNN link, unless you don’t believe their science

But since it was good enough to get Trump out, they can now make the senile basement dweller the hero.

Sure it is. And a bullet in the brain for someone that carried the virus 30 days before committing suicide equals a COVID death. I get it. Science reimagined.
