while it's a good point, to play devil's advocate, how many bad decisions have we made to placate the one of the most consistent voting blocks? And how many problems stem from social security and the inability to do something about it because of that voting block.

Looks like lot of posters here do not think Donald Trump should vote.
Maybe will start paying taxes like the rest of us...

Problems? What problems? Do you mean that the "Interest Bearing Personal Savings Accounts" that were promised at the inception of the program never pay interest and it is never your own personal savings account?
Do you mean like the fact that Social Security has become a grand Ponzi scheme and Congress is in charge and is constantly stealing the funds to support their pet projects?
The Social Security Program itself is just a bunch of words on a piece of paper and signed into law. That piece of paper is not the problem, the foxes and ferrets that have been put in charge of the chicken coop are the problem along with Congress that condones the current misappropriation of funds and feather their nests in the process.
