Why do people on here care about Mulkey’s salary?

You aren’t fricking paying it so why do you care? The salaries mostly come from private donors. So who are you to tell those guys how to spend their money.

They just don’t like women’s basketball for whatever reason so they’re falling back on the flawed “profitability” argument I’m sure Joe Dean made on a regular basis.

Fans should literally have zero opinion on how other people voluntarily spend their money. Yes. If someone wanted to pay $1 billion per year for Coach O’s salary, why would you care?

This is exactly what they said about LSU spending $50 million on renovating football ops instead of building a new library.

Different donors have different passions. You don't go to a LSU Law alum asking for them to donate to the music school. They may have people who specifically want to give this money for this specific hire of Mulkey. That doesn't automatically mean another program will get less money.

Totally agree!
You HAVE to pay coaches on her level the best or you won’t get them.. $2.5-$3mill will have a huge ROI and it will all be worth it. That’s nothing for the athletic dept at LSU and she’s a top 3 coach in the country!
