Former President George W. Bush said Sunday during an interview with “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell that he felt former President Donald Trump lacked the “humility” necessary to be an effective leader.

In the interview that aired on “CBS Sunday Morning,” O’Donnell said, “Though he has refrained from criticizing his successors, he told us there’s a clear difference between him and former President Donald Trump.”

Discussing Trump, Bush said, “I feel a responsibility to uphold the dignity of the office. I did then, and I do now. And I think it’s undignified to want to see my name in print all the time.”

He continued, “I think it basically sends a signal that I miss being famous and, you know, I want people to see me. Listen to me! And, you know, I don’t. I really don’t.”

W. wouldn't know effective leadership if it slapped him upside the head...

If humility means being bent over by the dims, then I'm glad he doesn't have it.

W lacks the humility to STFU

The leftist media’s embrace of “War Criminal” George W Bush and his willingness to accept it - is nauseating

I agree.

Think about all the the things Trump could have done (serving a second term), if he could of only been mature enough to brush off the haters without opening his mouth.

Trump had the opportunity to fundamentally change our nation and blew it.

It is so out of touch. He thinks it is bashing Trump; when Trump being Trump and not a fake canned teleprompter is what got him elected.

Essentially he is saying a celebrity shouldn't be President.

He overlooks Obama's savior worship. He overlooks Obama being a divisive racist.

The other day he said it is so bad people cannot accept he is friends with Michelle Obama...

It is all bullshite in the name of globalism...

I don't think W is qualified to define what makes an "effective leader."

Trump got stuff done. W was a "go along, get along" kind of guy who the dems took advantage of repeatedly. W couldn't stand up to the dem pack of hyenas.

Well, I guess you could say that Trump lacked the 'humility' necessary to be an effective politician.... but then the ruling class see "politician" and "leader" as being synonymous

Bush is one of the biggest globalist cucks of them all.

Trump was plenty effective and would have been moreso had he not had the entire political class and their media lapdogs arrayed against him. Also, weak Republican leadership in Paul Ryan and McConnell. Trump got an incredible amount done given what he had to deal with....

An argument can be made that W's presidency was more destructive to this country than Obama's. Bush is a Globalist cuck.

Had Trump laid off social media, not lit into the press every chance he got, continued to look out for all americans, not antagonize professional athletes, etc than he would have gotten reelected in a landslide
