that LSU officials are meeting right now to discuss whether or not to play the game this Saturday.

Also, I could've sworn that they said Tiger Stadium suffered some major damage. First time I've heard that.

Well, there is a good bit of glass on the outsides that could potentially be fricked up in a storm as well as the scoreboards.

Wind damage to a concrete structure is not unheard of ... particularly when that structure is as old as Tiger Stadium. 90-100 mph winds pack a pretty good punch.

I hope the jumbotron is still in one piece. I don't think I could sit thru a game without it.

LSU Sports.net

This is an update from LSU regarding damage. Doesn't sound too good for this weekend.

I'd rather wait until 11/15 than play in New Orleans, which by the way, also got hit.

I realize the Saints are playing, but police would have to deal with twice the number of people over the weekend. Not do-able.

We sure could have used this game as a tune-up for Auburn.

There's just no way this will be played Saturday in Tiger Stadium.

...on the other hand, having the 'jumbo'tron blown away would be more incentive to just go ahead and replace it with a better and bigger one.

+1 the away schedule is brutal and that open date would really be nice.

As long as it is in as good of shape as it was when they played the whole 2006 season (half-arse ready vice completed construction), then they can play ther now. We REALLY NEED the prep for the Aubbies this week and we REALLY, REALLY need 3 games for our young QB's.

Moving the game to Troy is not a option. The article in the Advocate today said the only viable alternative is to reschedule. LSU will not give up a home game if at all possible. They want the 3K plus in revenue they make per home game.
