I would say it's a 75% chance it won't. Too much damage to campus, also the hotels are bombarded with evacuees. Power will not be restored to much of the area.... If the game is Saturday, it better be free, or attendance will be very low.

I would be willing to be that the game is moved to November 15th. It seems that it is too close to game day to move it somewhere else.

I was really hoping we could keep that open date in November, especially after the emotional game against Bama the week before.

The game will not be in Houston. The article in today's Advocate made it appear as if the only viable alternative they are discussing is rescheduling the game for the bye week that both teams share.

Right...I learned this past weekend that LSU makes over $3 million per home game (after expenses). There is no way this game will be played anywhere else besides Tiger Stadium if possible. And with Troy also having a bye week on November 15th, that seems to be the logical move.

Gusts of wind here and there nothing too serious, but we are getting days and days worth of light rain. Heavy rain comes and goes but I think the heavier stuff is not due for some time as far as rain is concerned. I doubt Shreveport would be able to host.

Me, too. If LSU loses that open date, the odds of winning the SEC or MNC decrease dramatically.

I don't see how it's possible that Baton Rouge hosts a football game on saturday. This game will be played on nov. 15, which means only 1 more game until we play auburn on the road

I'm planning on flying in for the game this weekend from Califorinia. When do you think we'll get a decision?

Shreveport is not seeing anything near what BR saw. The wind is almost absent and presently it is a mere heavy drizzle. We got it worse in the spring with bad thunderstorm and heavy rain than we have with this storm.

But our hotels are booked with evacuees and Indy Stadium while most likely open is nowhere the size of Tiger Stadium.

I imagine we'll be seeing Troy on November 15th.

not playing the game is probably the right thing to do.

You're exactly right. LSU needs that revenue. I just hope that the team can retain their composure. With the first 2 weeks of the season screwed to high heaven and more storms waiting in the wings (Ike and Josephine), who knows what's gonna happen.

I think the decision will come today since it is already Tuesday...we need to clear it with Troy first if we are to move the game to Nov 15th.

Yea if this game does not go down in Tiger Stadium it's not gonna happen. Too many Evacs still here and no hotel space.

The team played 11 games in 11 weeks in 2005. Guess they'll do the same this year (and make it 12 games in 12 weeks if they make it to Atlanta). It's great to be a Tiger—but it ain't easy.
