NOLA - Oak wood & Butcher Paper

Where do you guys get oak wood around the NOLA area? Was looking to smoke a brisket over some oak this weekend but can't seem to find it as easily as I thought I would. Stopped by Academy, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, Walmart but no luck. Figure I'll run by a couple Ace Hardwares tomorrow morning. Was hoping for chunk size to fit in my smoker, but can cut it up myself if it's larger.
Also wanted to try butcher paper instead of foil this time but can't seem to find that in stock at any of the above mentioned stores either. Can order online but it won't be here in time. Any local places carry it?
TIA

there's a guy on the westbank in Terrytown/Gretna on Belle Chasse Highway i'm pretty sure sells post oak.
you can find butcher paper at restaurant depot, who i believe is still not requiring a membership for entry, but otherwise you won't find it. i recommend going to either Piece of Meat or Central City BBQ and asking nicely for a piece of paper. they'll do it.

Yeah I figured Restaurant Depot might be my best option - just wasn't sure what their current membership situation was.
Appreciate the info.

Forgot to mention I also checked here. Did not see any butcher paper but did pick up some Kingsford Pro for a good price.

Harry's Ace has the oak.
Can call and ask Jefferson Hardware as well. Seems like they would have it.

look in the grilling section at academy for butcher paper. I got mine from the Academy in Elmwood.

The academy in BR usually has butch paper. I've always ordered from Amazon though

Thanks for the feedback - I planned on swinging by Harry's and the Academy in Elmwood tomorrow morning as my last two options. The Academy in Metairie had empty shelves on almost everything.

Ace should have been your first stop

I kind of stopped shopping at Ace a few years ago when I realized the prices on some of their stuff was ~2x what it was at other places. I still go occasionally but usually for one off things I can't get somewhere else.

Academy in Slidell had B&B Post Oak last time in. Guess that doesn't help you much though.
