There was a gust of 112mph south of Grand Isle, too.
From data that I have access to via work, I can verify these unofficial winds from a platform offshore south of Grand Isle
Elevation: 190 feet above sea level
Time 4:00 PM to 4:05 PM CDT
5-second Wind Gust: 107 mph (4:01 PM CDT)
1-minute average wind: 96 mph (4:01 to 4:02 PM CDT)
5-minute average wind: 84 mph
5 minute minimum wind: 57 mph
Based on the map posted on the previous page, the Seacor Power was in the same general area of the Gulf at this time.

“I do apologize for my earlier report. I received information from a neighboring platform with a lot of radio traffic. It appears that the 3 were person’s being rescued. At this time I am told there are 5 persons still missing and helo’s are in the air searching for the remaining 5. Praying all make it home. “

Someone on a platform south of Grand Isle sent a report that showed a gust of 112 mph. That was about 50 feet off the sea. Said it was sustained at 70/80 mph for about 30-40 mins. Gusting 80/90 mph. This is what it looks like. ?? @NWSNewOrleans @spann
