Here's some additional data that you might find interesting:

The flu season that gave us the highest amount of deaths was 2017-2018. It is estimated that 45 million people in the US contracted the flu. 61,000 died. So 0.1% of people who contracted the flu died.

Now let's compare that to Covid rates.
30,897,028 tested positive
558,028 deaths - 1.8% died

They were right. Covid has been far deadlier than our worst flu season.

Now go back and weigh the 61,000 vs the actual positive flu tests. Thanks in advance.

Because we know for certain many, many people had corona, but couldn't get tested. So lets estimate that 165M actually had corona (because I was told corona was so much more contagious than anything ever), now do that math.

The Covid deaths are false. Due to Cares Act money anyone who died of anything at the hospital and tested posted for Covid was listed as Covid cause of death when it was not.
Beyond that, many hospitals dropped the Covid positive check on the deceased entirely. They merely required a doctor to sign off. IE, 'Hey, Doc, this guy died of a heart attack. Should we check him for Covid?'
'No, it looks like Covid to me. Mark it up.'

that number is not reliable because the tests aren't reliable.

558,028 deaths - 1.8% died
the cdc admitted that a significant portion of that number died with a comorbidity so it's difficult to tell what actually killed the person. iow, that number is HIGHLY inflated and everyone knew it from the beginning

this is debatable and it's beside the point. the point was never how "deadly" it was/is. the point was why a one size fits all response.

we knew from the beginning that kids weren't getting sick/dying.
we knew that some cities were being hit worse than others.
we knew that hospitals at no point were being overrun.
we knew that the cdc was changing their stance every month.
we knew the masks weren't really doing anything.

we also knew that some people were willing to take the risk of contracting the virus in order to still live a somewhat normal life and that was infringed upon for no good reason

This a great example of covid fearmongering dishonesty. You use estimated flu cases, but only use actual confirmed cases of covid to make the death rate seem higher than it is. What is the estimated number of covid cases? That will significantly reduce the death rate.

Live in fear if you want to, but don't be a dishonest hack to try to make covid seem more deadly than it is.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Flu deaths in 2017-18 were counted very differently than COVID deaths in 2020 were. If anybody that died in 2017/18 while carrying the flu virus, or having carried the flu virus in the past 30 days, or exhibited flu-like symptoms whether carrying the flu virus or not - if all those decedents had been counted as "flu deaths," what do you think the flu death total for 2017/18 would be?

18x as deadly as a typical flu. I know 5 persons that have come down with serious COVID illness, with high fevers, respiratory distress, diarrhea, etc. Two required hospitilization, and one guy who's 67 has been in the hospital for 4 months now. He's doing better now, but recovery has been a slow process.
