This will be the easiest decision the athletic department has ever made. Postpone the game and let everyone have time to clean up.

I don't like the idea, but LSU should probably do this.

Is it that bad in Baton Rouge?
Moving the game will make for a tough November for the Tigers.
I don't know since I'm not in Louisiana so don't jump all over me.

Bad idea. Hurricane could hit them this Friday.

It would require LSU having to play 8 straight games.

I believe in 2005 they played 10 staright games.

I disagree. Don't postpone unless it's totally required. Right now there's no requirement for postponement...unless the PMAC is being used right now for evacuees.

If LSU postpones this game (which is probably gonna be our best test prior to SEC Play)....we don't get the on field experience we need prior to SEC play. You can bet your last dollar Auburn won't be postponing any games. We need this one to hone our skills and sharpen our teeth prior to Auburn. North Texas won't be that much of a challenge...Troy is a more quality opponent. If anything I'd rather see it moved to Troy and played....But Troy would have to honor all LSU tickets on a 1st come first serve basis.

Just a side note. ESPN is saying that right now the Superdome came out ok and that the Saints will be hosting the Bucs Sunday.

LSU will likely have no classes held until next Monday, if not later.

Holding the game this weekend may also disrupt campus cleanup and necessary repairs to buildings, etc.

The hurricane turned out to be a dud. Weather will be great by Wed. Sunny and bright. No reason to move the game.

The day is still young but it sounds like Baton Rouge escaped in good shape, considering. The biggest problem I see is the emergency services and utility services. Per WDSU on channel 631 for Directv (thanks for the local station Directv ) Baton Rouge has around 11,000 power outages which isn't bad, so the game will be on. "Book it"

Baton Rouge just had a little shower today. Why postpone the game?
