I know absolutely nothing about Houma other than that's where my dad is from. That said, go pick up 4 or 5 packs of cajun beef jerky from Bourgeois Meat Market.

You found anything to do? I've lived here 3 years, and regret it every day.

ha yea we killed some time. Of course half of Saturday was shot with the weather but ate at Cajun Critters and Griffins both were good. Tried to go to waterlife museum but closed on weekends right now. Did the military museum which was ok. Went and did the Mandalay nature trail thing which was very short but killed 45 min or so. Not much to that did see 3 moccassins and a gator but nothing we dont see at home or at one of the camps every day anyways. Road out to the Laurel Valley thing and milled around there a while. Bowling alley was right next to hotel so went there Sat night between her dance thing ending and the actual competition that night. Also took them to the Scarlet Scoop ice cream place. Given the limited time we had and the weather we found enough to occupy the time especially with a bunch of stuff closed on the weekends right now.

Lol poor Houma - it’s an okay place

My husband is from down the bayou and my great grandma was from there - so we go see family and fish and that’s about it - lol - I think it’s an okay place to raise a family but not much fun is to be had unless you really like the outdoors

I'm certain the Walmart in Houma is the largest one in the U.S. Absolutely huge.

That's it. That's all I got for Houma...

Nicest MLK you'll ever see. That being said, I am starting to think people bring their trash to throw on the ground here
