What is the point of this thread? Do you disagree with the assertion?

Do you ? Should internet be free for people that already receive every other bit of federal and state aid ?

Why would he tweet just that?

I do. Broadband is the product of the providers, not the damn government.
If you want to ride a high speed train let the customers pay for it. If it cost too much for that then we, as a nation, do not need it.

I don't want the people who brought us the DMV and VA shite shows, to also control my broadband.
While I bitch about broadband companies they're still out for profit so will provide a better service then anything the not for profit government would provide us.
China provides broadband for it's citizens too...

You know someone had to tell him what to say on this story. You are talking about a man in Biden that actually said during one of the Democratic debates to make sure you turn on the phonograph at night and make sure the kids here words. That man knows nothing about broadband or any other kind of modern tech!!!

Control the broadband, control what's on it.

That’s the commie plan.

Are you stalking me?
But you are well aware that the gov will be way worse than any private company at the end of the day.

The issue is, you're never going to get the majority of people to agree to completely privatize infrastructure. The best thing to do is advocate for public/private partnerships and institute as many markets as possible, otherwise it turns in to a complete California style boondoggle.

Why would he tweet just that?
Because of the criticisms that most of the stuff in his bill have nothing to do with infrastructure. He’s cherry picking the few things that are actually infrastructure.

I’ve had this suspicion that Twitter and FB’s actions lately have all been done in a subversive way to push net neutrality
