If so, what did you do?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My gunite pool will need replastering in the next 4-5 years. We also have plans for more hardscape, backyard landscaping that it’s make sense to incorporate at the same time. I’m unsure of what else might make sense to do at the same time, like pool deck, apron, hot tub surround, etc.

New plaster, new tile, new coping.
Would also be a good time to add features if you have the room such as shallow splash area or deep end shelf.

Yes, we would like to add smaller features like bubblers and other moving water features if possible, but also would love to add a sun shelf if that is practical.

We replaced all plaster, tile, and coping last year. Came out great.

Recently just did this. We added 10x26 area to the existing pool that included 2 tanning ledges and spa. Replaster, tile and new coping.

Anyone willing to provide rough cost of this work for a 25k gallon pool?

It’s based on the pool square footage. Also, your tile choice can range anywhere from $5/sq ft to $50/sq ft. If you replace the coping that’s additional cost. Depending on what you want done and the product you choose will decide your final cost.

Bump.
What companies are interested in doing pool facelifts? New plaster, decking, etc. The companies I’ve reached out to only want to mess with new builds.

Try using the Find a Dealer function at the Wet Edge or Pebbletec websites and search for applicators. It’s a way to find the plaster subs that the pool builders use.

how hard is it to upgrade a vinyl liner pool to a gunite salt water pool?
Posted on 10/14/23 at 9:39 pm to BeepNode
As some with a liner pool, I have done some research on this. It cost the same, if not more than starting from scratch. If we decide to stay in this house, I will absolutely get rid of the liner and replace with gunite.

NY Garcia. We had hard time finding someone to do just that. Everyone wanted to build a pool and decking. They did an awesome job.

Have you tried Russell Pool?
