People who buy certain types of Rolex. Or you can wait forever. I don't think its quite the same with Omega because those aren't as scarce. Don't take my word though, I'm just a novice.

Omega is better than others.

And appreciating and paying more than new aren't the same thing. New price could go up 10% a year and a watch might “appreciate” 2% a year.

Keep a watch for a decade and you might be able to sell for more than you paid but still be less then a new one.

an insane amount of rolex buyers. Rolex has tightened their grip on the market and limited the supply chain causing prices to go crazy

To the OP, omegas hold value for the most part, the dont nearly appreciate like Rolex has done

LOL.

The right watches appreciate very well. I have a PP 5711 bought in 2013 that has been trading at roughly twice what a new one sells for 4 -5 years. It took a $35 grand jump in the last 3 weeks when Patek announced the 5711 was discontinued.

You can buy a Rolex ceramic Daytona today and sell it for more than twice what you paid tomorrow.

Not all watches appreciate but some do significantly.
