he also had a ton of dropped balls, took some hard hits and got right back up and did a great job of avoiding sacks.

He's good...for FCS. Like most on the site said, he's a great athlete but a FBS or SEC QB? No.

His receivers dropped plenty of balls, but that was because of the huge hits AE and his receivers got early and often.

I have nothing against him, just the App St fans who were on the Rant saying he would pick our defense apart.

the fact that he almost assuredly won't have the worst QB performance against LSU this year with 1-AA talent restrictions says a lot

Dropped balls didn't discourage him, big hits didn't take him out of his game, good rush didn't rattle him, showed toughness, didn't quit, decent showing w/o much help against a vastly better team. I'd take him.

Sound like excuses for a poor performance. "He got back up after big hits". Isn't that what he's supposed to do?

I think if you expected him to carry the team as many ASU fans did he was terrible...as a whole i don't think he was bad but he nothing to work with really.

He had NFL draft picks in his face all day and he was throwing to guys with Alligator arms. Edwards played like a man, I couldn't be more impressed with the kid. I thought for sure he was going to get injured on some of those hits.

he is slower than i thought he was

no way he runs below a 4.6 40

good player for a 1-aa QB though. Fantastic, in fact.

You are the kind of fan who tries to find good things about other teams players, no matter how badly they perform. IF LSU's QBs had that performance you would say he sucked.

First of all I would never say an LSU player sucks. I would say I'd like to see someone else given a shot at starting at that position.

You are one of those guys who makes comments on things they don't understand at all. Edwards had crap blocking for him and receivers that dropped the ball the few times they could get open. What do you want the guy to do? He is not some all world QB, but if you put a him in purple and gold he would start for us IMO.

You can play a good game and not have good results. No excuses, just my opinion, which is what he asked for.

Yes. But he never let it show, nor did he flinch when throwing under pressue, or slide when he ran.
