Cliffs
-1st day of spring ball! Team meetings begin at 1:30. Lit a fire between offense and defense this morning around 5:45 this morning between O-line & D-line coaches
-Discussing Brees and retirement how much Drew and his wife love Louisiana and what he's done for the Saints
-Goals of spring: Toughness. Best physical mind set and great conditioning.
-Defensively put the players in the best position to make plays. Eliminate the explosive plays. Teach great fundamentals and let them play.
-Today is not going to be an ease them in day. Football school had about 50 walkthroughs already. The kids are ready it's time to go full speed but no contact. Helmets only
-Will have 9 on 7, 7 on 7, sill going team & one on one
-Offensive line has to step up. There is a separation between returners and younger guys. The young guys are going to be good players though. There will be more reps and more attention to that group this year. Extra one on ones
-Discussing Todd Harris last year coming off injury wasn't the same player. Year before he had a hell of a year.
-Derrick Davis Jr and Jordan Toles are coming along. Derrick went one on one with the best WR and he won. He should be getting ready for the prom. Still have Cam Lewis
-Feel comfortable with Sage Ryan and Matthew Langlois coming in. Counting on them contributing
-Young guys that came in are mature and by the time August comes they'll be like vets. They'll have 15 football schools and 15 practices. They'll know schedule and teammates better.
-Damone Clark is someone T-Bob wants to see improve. O says he needs to be more physical point of attack. Using his hands more and learning how to take on blocks the proper way.
-Fundamentals and technique are the goals of spring
-TE positions. We have Jalen Shead Jack Bech coming in. Bech from St. Thomas Moore is a fantastic football player. They're going to have to play with Kole. He needs to get more physical. O promised TE's that they get to spend 10 minutes with O on the sled to learn to block.
-Kole was a puppy last year but now is 6'6 1/2 and about 240.
-During practice to get the best conditioning so this year at the start of individuals. Offense is going to do deep kick off and defense will go pursuit. Haven't done that yet did it at USC and Miami. Will be gassed at beginning of practice so they'll have to adapt.
-RB talk. Two vets with John Emery and TDP. Excited about Corey Kiner. Reminds him of CEH. Proud to get Armoni out of Bama. Love the vets but they haven't played up to their potential whether injury or anything else.
-Tough loss for the Cowboys last week. House divided this week with McNeese against Northwestern State.

Also guess this answers where they see Bech right away at.
TE position needs so much help right now

T ogive some credit there, maybe he was talking about 2018 when Harris was substantially better than he was in 2019 when he got hurt early on in the season and 2020 where, well, just not very good over the course of the season there either.
Now he wasnt a GOOD player in 2018, but he certainly was better then than the short 2019 campaign and 2020's more than forgettable year.

Didn't they take Shead because of someone in this years recruiting class?

It's his best chance to see the field early and he has the physical mentality of Moss, just a good bit lighter.

Edit: Captain I removed the info our competition may be interested in knowing.
Jalen is a talented receiver and excellent blocker.

Thank you Mo! I should've been more clear maybe they figured it couldn't hurt with chances with Walter in '22.

Absolutely no word or discussion about Koy Moore and him lying about his incident? Lol
This is ridiculous that O can't even address it for "fear of losing the team" and also at the very least Moore doesn't offer up a public apology
Pathetic world we live in. Zero accountability.

Bech on Culotta didn’t seem to keen on being a TE. Said he was a slot WR

I guess Storz isn't moving up the depth chart since O didn't mention him.

He might have mentioned him. It was kind of muffled as I was typing some of this up.
