I struggle to get through a Rolling Stones song never mind an album. Jagger’s voice grates on me.

5. I'm kind of stuck on this one. I think Beggar's Banquet is a bit overrated, maybe even two or three bits overrated. It's not bad overrated but it never sticks with me as "all time classic rock and roll album" level either. I'm trying to talk myself out of putting Black and Blue here. It's a very uneven album. The good stuff is Exile on Main Street and Sticky Fingers level good but the bad stuff is 1980s and beyond Rolling Stones bad. I suppose I could go with Steel Wheels which to me is easily the best album they made in the 80s but that is also damning with faint praise. I guess for now I will stick with Black and Blue.

I love Black and Blue and think its the most overlooked and underrated Stones album. But I love that early stuff with Ronnie Wood and Billy Preston with the funk and reggae influences. Its one of my favorites but not sure it its important enough to knock the others off the perch

Some Girls is also a GREAT album. I have a softness for Black and Blue and Emotional Rescue, but they are shite albums.

Black and Blue's Hand of Fate is an absolute cracker, however. Moonlight Mile may be their most famous song in England, oddly enough. It's from Sticky Fingers, but must have been a canned song ahead of it's time (sounds like it should be on Black and Blue or the last song of Its Only Rock and Roll).

It's Only R and R is a criminally underated album. Side one of that is almost perfect.

Damn that's tough....

1. Sticky Fingers
2. Exile
3. Some Girls
4. Let It Bleed
5. Goats Head Soup (the 2020 remix made appreciate this one more)

Honorable: Beggars, Tattoo You, IORR, I even like a lot of A Bigger Bang but needs to be trimmed

it came on the heels of a fantastic run, and there are some weak things in it. Did Goats Head Soup come before or after?

There are so many it makes this a tough question. Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed and Tatoo You would definitely be on my list. Probably Some Girls to
