the absolute greatest thing to ever happen to shreveport was I-49
this concrete Mason dixon line has kept the east side of 49 livable. Clanton Street is only a short walk to south highlands, and some really nice streets with homes thay rival anywhere in the state

Shreveport is depressing and miserable. The scenery at the Kroger on Ellerbe being the only exception.

Not reading the thread because it does not mean much to me. OI would like to venture a random guess......Is Clinton St near MLK Blvd??
FTR it is never good when kids are killing each other.

Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton need to know if any whites were involved before booking their trip.

No, MLK is its own entity north of 220.
Clanton is a part of the huge block west of 49, South of Downtown and includes basically everything inside the 220 loop. Its behind the Fedmo (LSU Hospital)
You have you're hotspots inside the boundaries, Allendale and Mooretown are close to downtown. Cedar Grove south bucking up to 220, then around the airport.
More or less 40 square miles

This story took an interesting turn. A couple of true life gunslingers had a showdown on the streets of Shreveport yesterday. How do we determine the winner?
quote:
When they arrived, police found two male victims, ages 22- and 18-years-old, suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body, at separate locations in the same block.
quote:
The preliminary investigation suggests that both of the males engaged in a dispute that escalated to both individuals brandishing firearms and shooting each other which resulted in their deaths. This is an on-going investigation.

I had to look up where Clanton Street was. I pretty much consider anything off Hollywood to be a shithole, so Clanton is in prime stay the frick away territory.
