Say NO to voting machines

This is may be the most important thing you do today. There is new technology coming out that will cost $95 MILLION LESS of tax payer’s money than what the Sec of State is considering. (Seriously considering and defending).
Call and email this committee. They will make the decision to reject or accept Electronic Voting Machines. Say NO.
We demand a public hearing with independent experts to inform the people on the most secure voting methods.
Louisiana uses Software in conjunction with the old voting machines. You think your vote is safe. It is NOT. It has not been. Everyone needs to demand a safe and secure voting system.
Louisiana should NOT sign a contract with a company in litigation in not only multiple states, but multiple countries. A contract that will cost us $95 million MORE than the latest technology that is safe and secure. We must demand that SOS Ardoin and the legislative committee overseeing this reject a company that is vulnerable to manipulation and hacking, which has already been determined by at least one federal court.
It doesn’t matter what your political affiliation is. You should DEMAND fair and free elections. We have the right to demand that we both win fairly and lose fairly in the United States of America.

What evidence do you have that our voting system is not safe ?

Software is not safe, anything that uses software is not safe.
The safest form at present would be a block-chain based voting system. If someone was smart they'd be creating this for countries to use.

Of those bitching about voting machines and screaming for hand counts, 99% will be screaming equally loudly about not having instantaneous results before hitting the hay on election night and insisting that poll volunteers not be allowed to sleep until the count is done.

How is that any different than now? a couple of weeks ago they were still counting in some states.

quote:why in God’s name do we need special secret software to count votes?!?!?!? The FACT the algorithms are NOT open source shows there’s something wrong. The USA doesn’t need foreign companies participating in our elections. I’d like to hear one good reason the software and algorithm is not open source.
What evidence do you have that our voting system is not safe ?

I just want to point out that it doesn’t necessarily even need to be the source code that is the bad actor. Small and hard to detect adders can affect the count. The point is that even getting the source code and testing it out doesn’t mitigate the problem. As you may know, Ardoin has proudly proclaimed that a certain unnamed vendor has already turned over their code.

After last election and losing the Senate and presidency, I don't think the extra time will be a big deal
