Not all side effects to vaccines are bad. Running a fever is a sign that your body is having an immune response to the vaccine, which is good and needed, so long as the virus is dead*.

*The Moderna vaccine doesn't use the virus. It uses messenger RNA to program cells to produce the antigen that thereby teaches the immune system to produce antibodies.

The Covaxin vaccine uses an inactivated (dead) form of the virus for immune system exposure.
