It has little to do with education and much more to do with the good ole boy system that has infected Louisiana since Huey Long. Other states have G.O.B. shite, but few have anything near ours.

Corporations dont want anything to do with it unless they are getting taxpayer funded subsidies and zero taxes.

We had a shot to get out of it somewhat under Jindal, but then he decided to spend his entire 2nd term in a futile effort to run for president.

many white collar jobs until the education system improves

You need a number of white collar jobs for any manufacturing facility.
And a terrible education system hasn't stopped Mercedes, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota and Mazda from opening automotive facilities here in this state.

Borderline “Southern”

Have you never driven down TN backroads? TN probably has more backwoods rednecks that wouldn’t hesitate to shoot you for LOOKING at their property than any other state.

“Southern” Cultcha certainly is well represented in Memphis and Nashville as well if you meant that instead...

GM does not want to have to pay all the back door deals to build in Louisiana.

GM had a large plant and presence in Shreveport for decades.

They know all about the workforce and politics of this state. They will never make another large scale investment in Louisiana.
