I agree with your premise regarding the extra step. However, what no one knows about mRNA vaccines is what happens if the mRNA degrades before it enters the cells? Steps are taken to ensure that the mRNA fragments don't degrade, but that's impossible to predict or prevent.

There's a reason why mRNA hasn't been used before even though they've been studied since around 2016. The major concern is the potential for stimulation of autoimmune problems.

The mRNA technology may turn out to be the best ever technology. We don't have the info on that, whereas we do have info on standard non-viable, attenuated vaccines and viral vector vaccines.

To each his own. I totally respect your opinion, and like Don Corleone said: "I know you'll do very well, and good luck to you, especially since your interests don't conflict with mine."
