re: Bulk 556 at Academy in Covington and Hammond

quote:Well, I answered your question. Answer mine.
oh my. Yes that is exactly what I mean. You got me.
Why do you “need” a car that’s capable of driving faster than any posted speed limit? Isn’t all of that excess speed unnecessary?
Posted on 3/1/21 at 9:31 pm to JayWhite
quote:I’ll play along.
If 200 rounds satisfies a need, you're doing it wrong
What other impositions would you, a random internet stranger, like to place upon other free Americans regarding how to legally and lawfully and spend their earned money?
Regarding “need”, I summarized that a few posts ago. Try to keep up. Maybe someone needs to sight in a new scope they got for Christmas. Maybe they have a vermin problem that’s disrupting their crops or property and would like to address it. Maybe they received some new mags as a gift and would like to have them topped off. Those are all valid, lawful, and constructive ways to satisfy a need for more ammo.
quote:I know you won’t stop me. You can’t. That’s the beauty of being a law-abiding citizen of the greatest country ever conceived.
And before you start raging about capitalism, I agree with you. If you want to overpay for ammo and then flex about overpaying for ammo, I won't stop you.
In reality, you probably could whip my arse. I’m older, not very big, never been formally trained in any sort of fighting discipline.
But your statement “I won’t stop you” is a little inaccurate. You can’t. You couldn’t. I doubt you’d even try. Even against an aging guy like myself.
So it’s not that you won’t, it’s more like you wouldn’t.
And it wasn’t a flex. I acknowledged it was not the best deal around, nor was it the worst. Try to keep up.

You're a simpleton. No one has said anything about stopping you from doing anything. More than one person has said the exact opposite, in fact.
You have a raw arse because some people think you're a fool and they called you out for it. Getting caught needing 200 rounds of overpriced, shitty ammo only verifies what others have said to you.

Oh, because you said:
So I asked why you would need a car capable of driving faster than any posted speed limit.
Or why you need a big truck capable of taking thousands of pounds but you never haul anything like a trailer or boat.
So I’m trying to figure out where or how you became the arbiter of what any free American “needs.”
You still haven’t answered, which sort of tells me everything I need to know.
I hope you have a great rest of your night. You’d probably find more peace in life if you didn’t try to project what you think is “cool” or “appropriate” onto others. Aren’t we all a little different, and isn’t that a good thing? I don’t think I’d like to live in a world where I have to conform to what strangers think should be the preferred course of action.
And my point remains. You’d keep your hands in your pockets and your mouth shut if you saw me buying ammo. Not because I’m that much of a bad arse, but because you probably aren’t.
Good night.

Only if you're a dumbass.
This has nothing to do with a general need for ammo, and everything thing to do with you getting caught needing 200 rounds of anything.

I'd probably laugh at just another dumbass paying $0.60/round for bulk Winchester.

quote:that is an inaccurate analogy so not getting a response.
Why do you “need” a car that’s capable of driving faster than any posted speed limit? Isn’t all of that excess speed unnecessary?
Now if you had a car and you needed 1000 gallons of fuel per year yet you found a way to store and hoard 20000 gallons and kept looking for more. That would be an accurate analogy and as dumb as hoarding ammo.
Posted on 3/2/21 at 6:54 am to tigerfoot
quote:Then explain to me how I’m hoarding ammo. Please include specifics re: how much I already have on hand and how much I use in a calendar year.
That would be an accurate analogy and as dumb as hoarding ammo.
I’ll hang up and listen.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...its not a woodcock.
Because people are making the rounds buying up every round made normal people cant go out and buy a box of 7mm08 or .270 to take to the camp and shoot a few deer.
You keep telling yourself that the 1000s upon 1000s of rounds stored are needed.

I could have none, one, some or thousands. You couldn’t possibly know that, yet it doesn’t stop you from getting emotional when someone engages in a voluntary transaction.
Why does what I (or anyone) buy trigger you so much?

So you rather spend your time complaining on the internet. Got it.

Yall keep hoarding.

Why are there so many cry babies about a guy just telling others that there is ammo for sale at a place? Even more so when it is impossible to find at some places.
Y'all do realize that not everyone are hoarders and some people like to shoot for sport. It has been incredibly difficult to do that during this time. So I don't see what is wrong with this dude alerting people to it being available. It's an Academy, not his gun store.

Why are there so many cry babies about getting called out for waiting in lines to panic buy shitty, overpriced ammo?
People who shoot for sport didn't cause this, but we're all keeping it going by acting like idiots.
I don't care if that hurts anyone's feelings or if you continue to rage downvote because you know it's the truth.

I bought all the zqi cans of .556 a few years ago. So no shopping for me.
But I will always buy a box of .22
I check every time I'm in a store. I've done it since I was 12

You really are one giant, soggy pussy.
Your father, if he was present in your life, must be extraordinarily disappointed in you.

I'm not the one being a soft little bitch because someone on the Internet pointed and laughed.

$119 for 200 rounds. Winchester.

My Academy was sold out on the 5.56 but had 20 round boxes of the white box 7.62 x 51. Only $28 a box
