The demo is out tomorrow. Looks like a legit looter shooter that comes complete at launch. Sorry if I missed the thread I only checked first page.

cant go 20 mins without a crash.
only real thing i've noticed so far is its annoying as hell to try and stick to cover. it just doesnt want to get into cover sometimes.
also grenades without a marker telling you where they are going? most of my nades hit a wall or something on the roof.
oh and the 1 time i matchmade it was at the very end of a mission, and then it crashed.

What platform are you playing on?
I was going to give it a go on either PS5 or Series X tonight, but it sounds like there are issues with both systems. If matchmaking isn't working I might skip it entirely. That's not the type of game I want to play solo.

so i have played through all of the demo now and while its nothing special gunplay and ability wise(technomancer at least) i've actually enjoyed the characters and story so far. way more then destiny or anthem.

I also played the demo. It’s boring as hell. I hate the controls. I don’t know if it’s trying to be destiny or gears of war but they both do it better than outriders. Maybe the full game will be better but I’m damn sure not getting this until it comes out and gets glowing reviews from gamers. Anthem already burnt me and this doesn’t look like anything special.

cutscenes were fine for me.
couple of tips after fighting through crashes and no matchmaking desperately trying to like this.
biggest thing is dont play it like a cover shooter. cover mechanics are janky as hell and you dont need them. you can have grenade markers for technomancer but its dumb as hell. you have to hold the button then release it to get the marker then click another time to confirm you want to throw.

Yea honestly I tried to hype myself up, but I don’t see this being anything special. Looks like looter shooters are dead.

Gave the demo a whirl on PS5 and it was pretty meh (the matchmaking issues were especially annoying for an online co-op game), so I'll be curious to see what they can fix before the 4/1 release.

Me and my friends have been really enjoying the demo but it does have some janky-ness to it. It presents itself as a cover shooter early on but that's really not how your supposed to play it. Its all about using your abilities to obliterate enemies and using your weapons to clean up any stragglers.
You guys that played technomancer probably picked the worst class to try to play first because it's the least flashy class and early on you have to play it as a cover shooter. Its probably the most useful and one of the most powerful classes, just a bit boring.

Tell me what you think. I recently quit playing destiny 2 because it gives me FOMO so I might end up skipping on this since it’s a similar genre.
