I somewhat agree with the premise, if everyone else is jumping on racial issues and freaking out over nothing, well... the indians have quite a bit more of a greivance to fill than anyone.

Still doesn't mean they HAVE to, but if everyone else is demanding racial "equality" and other bullshite then they certainly have the right to as well - probably more than any other race.

But when it comes to the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, they're named that in an attempt to convey "toughness" and their ability to handle "the wilderness". Their supposed free spirit, too.

I'll never understand why any one person or race would have a problem with enforcing a positive stereotype, it's a GOOD thing. But if anyone can really bitch about western civilization appropriating their culture or racism, it's the native Americans.

For the record, I think Jeep products are pure shite.

Was the Chief quoted saying: "What is good for goose is good for gander."

Until the tribes who were enslaved by the Cherokee decide that the word Cherokee is a symbol of injustice. I wonder when the tribes who were slaughtered by the Comanche and Apache will declare these names to be offensive to them.
