It's still way too early in October.

Right where we want to be

I can't remember a single season where we were ranked preseason top 10 or thought we should be and the season turned out a success. Anybody? 2006 and 2011 maybe? Even those season are considered a disappointment commonly.

Give us a little motivation. I like it

Agreed. Let’s see how this unfolds but as long as they win; it won’t matter.

I didn't know we were ranked that high pre season I remember Texas being ranked higher for some reason before that game.

Loosely translated, these sports writers poached their information and did absolutely nothing to truly look into and evaluate what LSU has in terms of returning talent. I would say #20 is the on the very bottom of what they might do.
Personally, would say LSU falls in a range between #6 and #12 depending on if they win their last game. They probably aren't playoff material but weirder things have happened.

We return almost all of our starters and Pelini is gone. We will finish top 10 with 2 losses I'm guessing

Ahead of Texas and Penn st.
I don't get the Iowa State hype. The ragin Cajuns drilled them last year

I don’t mind the early polls, but way too much stock is put into them for the playoff rankings even though the committee would say otherwise.
