That's the best one to get into for plumbers. New construction. Especially now that's its all pex with ratchet straps and pvc waste plumbing. No soldering, no threading pipe. Just simple plastic runs.
The opposite end would be the rooter plumber . The one whose job is to clear out clogs in waste pipes. Or the underslab plumber. I know they make bank and have illegals do the hard work first usually. But still. Under a house in shite and mud laying pipe?
Couldn't do it.
But the new construction plumber that's a money printing relatively easy job.

If you can get hooked up with a few builders that do decent volume then you have it made. As you said, the rough-in these days isn't hard at all especially if you have a track hoe or trencher for the waste pipe. The top out is probably the most time-consuming part running the pex and of course setting the fixtures at the end is easy. It's all fairly simple and lucrative.

My buddy owns a plumbing and HVAC company in north LA. Some of the stories he tells me of the houses they have to go into are disturbing.
