I cannot imagine what this world would be like without Rush Limbaugh having done what he did so well for so many years.
Honestly, it's remarkable to think about what he spawned.
He essentially created the market for Fox News. He obviously spawned every conservative talk radio host in the past 30 years. Which would mean that he's also the father of essentially every conservative YouTuber out there, whether they know it or not.
And of course, his skill in delivering the conservative message as well as he did forced the left to push even harder and in many ways likely lead to them eventually dropping all pretenses as we now see.
He's like Batman, in that while he undoubtedly did many great things, his mere presence spawned super villains.

I think from the arrival of his prime, up to this day (and beyond) he has been one of the most well known Americans, full stop. Up there in name recognition with the likes of Michael Jordan, any and all Presidents during that timeframe....really, no name/person/personality commands a higher level of recognition. Certainly at least in the U.S.
