Sisyphus is currently favorite ongoing show. I like how they are doing 2 episodes per week. Plus Park Shin Hye is fine as frog hair. SK shows/movies are so good, its almost all I watch now. No SJW bullshite, just the story. Rugal was another one I just finished that was really good.

I just finished Arthdal and really liked it. Took a while to figure out who/what each tribe was, though. And Taealha
Thanks this looks interesting. Think I'll start it next.

Watched it - it’s pretty good
I’ve seen most of them and I’d highly recommend My Country if you liked Arthdal
Think of it as a Korean BraveHeart meets Spartacus

You know its not over, right? Still 4 episodes to go. Looks like they are doing episode releases twice a week now. One Wednesday, and one Thursday.
I'm gonna check out either My Country or The Uncanny Encounter next.

Yeah I know - just saying what I have seen so far is good

Gotcha, I thought it was only 10 episodes because of that drop down menu on Netflix. I was pleasantly surprised to see more still coming.

Didn’t see this thread when I created one recently. I just finished Arthdal Chronicles on someone’s suggestion and it’s another one added to my list.
It’s almost like they have overtaken the shite that is coming out of the US these days. Don’t have the forced social justice crap either. Just straight up good plots, characters, and great production.

Adding my list. Vagabond is great and doesn’t get much mention on here.

Kingdom
The Victim's Game
Alice in Borderland

Alice is Japanese but it was awesome. Can't wait for season 2.

I just got through Vagabond. Really stretched but still liked it.

If you’re still trying to decide watch My Country. I started Uncanny Counters and I’ll go back and finish it eventually but I lost a lot of sleep over My Country because I didn’t want to stop watching.

Many good choices here.
Signal is one of my favorites. It is basically about good cops and bad cops, but there is a lot of action and a bit of sci-fi. The show ties characters from 20 years ago with characters of today: a kid whose brother was murdered and the detective that worked the case, the detective with a female rookie cop, the rookie cop later as a detective that is working with the kid that is now grown up, and the grown up kid mysteriously communicating on an old walkie-talkie with the original detective who mysteriously disappeared.
So, there is a cold-case group solving crimes with the help of communications from the past while working with dirty cops that were somehow involved in the crimes they are trying to solve.

For anyone interested in watching more Korean shows, you can check out Viki.com. You can watch most for free with ads (adblocks work on it, or at least uBlock does) or subscribe and watch without ads. There are also Chinese and some other Asian shows available.

Agree 1000%. Both Arthdal Chronicles and My Country are top notch. They are both Korean language with English subtitles, but they are fantastic and I binge watched both of them to the extent I could make time for them.

I got Viki awhile back. I’ve watched the Netflix shows a lot more but I really like Viki and I read that they have the most accurate subtitle translations.
After My Country and Mr. Sunshine back to back I wanted something more lighthearted. I started Reply 1994 and I really like it. It took me a few episodes to really get into it but it’s funny. I think anyone would enjoy it but if you’re in your 40s you’ll probably really like it.

I watched the Reply series a couple of years back on Viki and really enjoyed all three

Good to know. I plan to watch the others too but I read a few comments that 1994 was following the same formula as one of the others so I didn’t know if I’d enjoy all of them.

Yeah there is a standard formula that all three follow and it does get kind of repetitive as far as the main story line goes. What I liked most about them was learning about different parts of Korean history and society that I didn't know about going in.

I agree. It’s interesting to see how different their lives are and how they act. I love how they yell at each other and always say they’re going to kill each other but they’re all so close. I love the parents. The dad really cracks me up.
