Would help if there was actual color instead of this "oh so serious"color washing lighting I do think for Darkseid they are attempting some blue there.

One thing I never understand about DC supervillains is how they ever could be defeated. Their canonical powers seemingly would make it impossible.

We just had Marvel's Darkseid knockoff kill half the universe with the snap of his finger. Every comic superhero universe is packed with omnipotent villains.

Kathy Bates is perfect for this role. The only one who could do it better would be Ed Asner but he's 91 now. Kathy Bates in person is one of the sweetest, nicest people you could hope to meet- but damn she can rock a villain.

ETA I joke but when you lose all detail because your lighting sucks, you've failed as a film maker. shite compare this to any Watchmen scene and you can see how far up his own arse he crawled.
