The recurring theme since COVID became a threat, is that parents have few choices, and public school administrators have absolutely made that situation worse by refusing to teach or work in person. Anyone whose children were enrolled in public schools, should have been given educational vouchers so the parents could have chosen educational opportunities that work for their families. Of course, I think all parents should have school choice, through funding for low-income families.

What specific schools are not requiring masks? I haven’t heard of a single one.

I did respond to that earlier. The ones I know of may not be categorized as “private schools” by the state.

No, you didn't. What specific school in Louisiana does not require students to wear a mask (above the second grade)?

You are welcome to Google that information. I get the sense that by publicizing the names here, I would be subjecting those schools to targeted harassment.

I have to respectfully disagree. I think you are incorrect about language development and the antidepressants.

If language development happened and was solidified at age 2, why are 6 years olds in speech therapy? Language development is way beyond just speech as well. I’m talking reading, enunciation, context, etc. things all made more difficult with a mask.

In terms of the antidepressants, pediatricians have personally told me they’re having to write them and at a very high rate. Maybe there is a black box warning, but it’s happening. Maybe they shouldn’t be, but I dunno. It’s happening.

I don’t come on here and spew nonsense. If people want nonsense, they can read it elsewhere. The fact of the matter is that masking is not useful for the kids and is detrimental

Thank you again for your expertise and honesty. We should be able to accommodate the children whose families do not see the medical need for masking them in schools.
