Transfer Portal Target, Clemson OLB Mike Jones Jr

LINK 4th highest graded LB in Power 5 this past season by PFF
LINK Had the top coverage grade in all of college football for any defensive player in mid November and was so good was even mistaken as a DB
LINK Was also graded out as one of the best safeties in power 5. Again he’s an OLB

Yea he’d be an excellent get. I’d prefer Jones or To’o To’o. I’d take both tbh. I’m hoping a stud TE hits the portal and we can snag them.

We cant take Grad Transfers because of Cox, unless the NCAA an the SEC approves the one time free transfer rule this spring.

I think it’s almost certain that the one-time waiver happens in some form. I think the holdup is in the permanent rules that will limit it going forward. If the NCAA can’t figure it all out for 2021, look for them to issue another blanket ruling. I’m surprised they have let it drag out this long.
The SEC is the bigger potential hang up. I have a feeling they are not going to allow waivers in-conference. That probably makes Jones the most appealing LB in the portal for us based on both fit and the potential for him to play in 2021.

Sheesh. What are we waiting for? Leaving Clemson so barring Gumpland it's OU or us as best opportunity for Natty.

What I personally think? I hate to say a player is scared of competition but I think Trenton Simpson has already taken his spot.
