I have a elderly family member who for whatever reason waited until early last week to get on the wait list with Ochsner for the vaccine. She's 78 and at in the at risk category.

Is there some other option I should tell her to go with to maybe get the vaccine sooner?

I swear I’d give my left nut for 10 minutes in the ring with no gloves on with this pos.

Unfortunately we are giving second doses only because the state slashed our supply. Keep checking daily to see if Ochsner opens up appointments on her MyOchsner account, you may need to help her with this (I will make a thread on this site when we reopen for 1st dose appointments)

Meanwhile, call all pharmacies in the area and get her in the waitlist. You may get lucky. Let me know if you have more questions and I will give my personal contact info to you and help as much as I can
