How often do you guys smoke? If I have them, I find myself smoking more often. Such as Thursday Friday Sat Sun. But usually I try for just one a week, maybe twice.
I prefer evenings before it gets dark. Sit back, relax, and watch the sun set.

In the colder months, I’ll smoke just about everyday. I’m down to maybe three days a week right now because the kids are out of school and they all have about 100 different things going on.
Starting to feel like fall at night already

Summertime is rough for smokes. When the fall kicks in, I'll smoke one maybe Friday, one Sat and possibly one on Sunday. Some weekends, not that many.

I usually smoke every Friday after work, and occasionally on Sunday evening if I have time. In the fall I usually smoke Saturday night after the LSU games win or lose.
Paired with some Smoke Wagon. I truly appreciate this thread for turning me on to My Father. I have yet to find one I didn't like.

Heck yeah the summer is rough for cigars unless you have a well ventilated indoor space. During the summer, I may or may not smoke at all unless I am grilling/smoking. During the cooler months, I smoke two or three times a week on my off days, almost exclusively in the AM. I prefer to taste the smoke and then go inside for a hot shower so I don’t smell bad for the whole day.
The wife doesn’t object to the smoking but I get significantly fewer **cough** kisses **cough** when I smell like an ashtray.

Good cigar. Only have a few of these left and need to restock.

CAO is criminally underrated. Everything they put out is excellent but you rarely hear about them.

Thought y’all would like this non scientific study.
I have two Villager Cuellar Connecticut Kremes.
One is brand new….just out of the cellophane bought from an online retailer. It has the bands on it.
The other has the bands off. I bought it 1 year ago and sat In The plastic travel humidor with 72% boveda.
There is a stark night and day difference. .
The year one year old cigar is head and shoulders better. Creamy and smooth.
I’m not a cigar reporter. But I can tell you.
The retrohale on the new one is virtually impossible. Too much white pepper.
The old one feels like coffee creamer.
…..if that helps.

Any cigar aged like that will be better than one right from a retailer. My problem is I never have the patience to let them rest for longer than a month or so

So that is why I am buying boxes of my favorites.
But I am the same way as you. I want to smoke them now.

My way around this is to find a reasonably priced cigar you like to smoke, and keep inventory to smoke that daily. Also, find other cigars that you like, and buy 10 to box qty's at a time, store and smoke when you don't feel like a daily smoke that day.
I have two boxes of cuban's and two boxes of my daily smokes stored that I rotate new inventory into as I deplete the stock (rotate on the daily smokes and aging the cubans). There is a noticeable difference on the cuban's from day one to aged, but the daily smokes taste nuances are mostly similar. I do keep an assortment of 3 to 5 qty different type cigars from sampler packs when I want to change things up. It's a great feeling when you can look at your humidor and say, what do I want to smoke today?

How do y’all feel about humidors and tupperdors?.
Some say you need some airflow.
Some say you need airtight seals.
Who’s right?

I have a tupperdor. Cheap. Simple. Works very well. Can buy more or bigger if needed without spending lots of money on a wooden box that needs attention.

I’ve been using tupperdors for years and never had an issue.
I have one wood humidor, mainly for display and for my top top shelf cigars.
Yes, most def.
Once a week or two, open it for a min and let it breathe.

I’m in the airflow crowd, believing this to be an important part of mold control. My homemade set up follows:
