You can dispute Tyrann all night whatever but Fournette is a clown pick. It shows recency bias big time. We’ve had some elite Louisiana guys.

Name a player from the state that dominated like Fournette? Made a bigger impact every game than Fournette? He carried the offense for 3 years with horrid QB play.

He was 700 yards and 6 TDS from career rushing records in LSU history with one less season. He is the single season rushing leader for LSU.
Fournette completely changed the landscape of SEC West opponents' schemes for 3 years. Saban confirmed this every season he faced Fournette.
Nobody for LSU from Louisiana has been as dominant as Leonard Fournette. People need to realize that and take off their bias glasses for OTHER players.
Burrow and Fournette are the #1 and #2 best Tigers ever.
Only difference between Burrow and Fournette was 11 in the box could stop an injured Fournette.

At a school known for great backs, and with no help from even the ATTEMPT of a passing game, Fournette owns:
1. Highest average yards/season
2. Highest single season by a mile
3. 3/10 highest games ever
4. Misses best ever rushing game by 1 yard, but 16 for 284 (17.3) is far better than 37 for 285 (7.7)
The only RBs ahead of him in any career category played four healthy years, to his 2.5, and barely edge him out.
Saying Fournette is not even “Top 5 in LA” requires you to judge him on something other than his college career.

And he should have won it. Had we gotten to play SELU that year, he would have bested Henry in every statistical rushing category
