The official tour of LSU is fantastic...they did a good job. If you aren't doing the official tour route, check out Quad, Union, Business School, Engineering School, Rec Center, and Mike's Cage...maybe see if you can check out some of the new dorm buildings. Eat at The Chimes since it is right by campus.

Just curious if you’ve checked with the DFW LSU Alumni Assn for info regarding their local scholarships for DFW LSU students.

What's he want to major in? The school will give him a tour of his specific college. The new engineering and business buildings are pretty cool as well as the Rec Center. Id suggest Reggies but I'm sure it's closed so have him check out the waitresses at walk ons

I have nothing to add other than the fond memory of turning onto Highland after driving by the lakes all those Saturdays as an 14-18 year old high school student. Especially having come usually from 12 hours away in Kansas. At the time, there was nothing more that I loved than LSU, and the sights, scenes, and smells of a campus on gameday are engrained in my memory forever. Still get that same feeling, just different when you're young.

All it took for me was a walk around campus and walking up to Tiger Stadium. I was sold, I knew that’s where I wanted to be.

I am sure you can set up a tour, but if you decide to just walk the campus, there is a great campus map on the website. Hope you have a great visit.
I moved my youngster to TX when he was 5, but was on campus for football camps & a few games. Of course we were watching tiger games every Sat. Well, must have made an impression somewhere along the line, cause he surprised me a few years ago, announcing he was finally a Tiger; grad school for his Masters. He could have stayed in TX a lot cheaper, but it had to be LSU.
Hope you guys have a great visit. Promise the weather is a lot better most of the year :-)

Very cool! Thanks TD...If I wanted him to know my days at LSU it would be the Happy Note. Anybody remember the Note?

Been so long since I have been to campus other than a fb game I wanted to check with the experts.

I like the campus in March the best. The entire campus is covered in Azaleas that bloom at that time.

Take a walk/drive around the lakes, some of the nicest houses in the area.

Chimes, Parrains, Ruffinos is what adult me likes around LSU. Moronic coed liked mellow mushroom, Rotolos, Perkins over pass bars, Ninfas (changed names, can’t remember current), pluckers. Buy the kid a beer while you’re here.
