The only HS football game I attended in past 20 years was McGuffie’s team against a team led by RB Fozzie Whittaker, who played at Texas and also in the NFL.

Both RBs had good games but were mostly held in check.

Rice stadium vs pearland? Might be the last high school game I’ve been too as well.

Pearland’s defense was absolutely loaded that year and ate him alive

Can't find it, but he used to have this sick video of him doing parkour type stuff in front of his parents' McMansion somewhere in the Cypress area. He was with his entourage and talked like someone that was not from Cypress, this I can tell you.

I remember there being a parody video where some kid from a rival school pretended to be him and they went to this pasture or whatever which he called his "training ground" and he would just hurdle over logs and stuff. Is that the one you're talking about? Cuz I can't find that one either, it was pretty funny especially considering it was uploaded during youtube's infancy.

Yeah if memory serves he would do a bunch of "stunts" like jumping into the bed of a truck from the side by the wheel well. And talk to the camera like J-Roc.

Virtually all of his highlight tape showed him against my former HS.

I think he would still been playing if he moved to WR right away in college. Crazy athlete but on the slim size for a RB

Yeah, it was at Rice stadium. I think McGuffie still had 140 yds or so, just no spectacular runs.

Probably should have used his hurdling skills on this play.

The creator took the parody video off Youtube due to concern of his career. Funny enough, I went to highschool with the guys and was a feature in the parody.

Aw damn. Concern for Sam's career or the uploader's career? I don't remember anything offensive or anything like in the video. I especially loved when they booted up the NCAAF video game and he kept spamming the hurdle button and his buddy was like "Maybe if you didn't hurdle so much...." and the guy playing Sam was like "What the frick did you just say?"

Me and my friends watched that video a lot, we all thought it was hilarious. "That's right, THE Sam 'I am' McGuffie. You should call your buddy and see if he still has a copy of that video.

Concern for the uploader's career. He definitely didn't give a shite about McGuffie. There wasn't anything offensive, but he was concerned if the wrong people eventually saw it in his line of work.

The video was a masterpiece with a great cast of characters from high school, and perfectly timed at the height of McGuffie's fame. I'll check in with him on it, but apparently he lost access or something to it.

I loved the end where he's training around the detention pond, hurdles a log, and yells "OWNED LOG!". I'd love to uncover the video again - it brings up some great memories.
