So, what is your preferred rum? I don’t have a ton of exposure to them (papas Pilar, several plantation single cask varieties, Kirk and Sweeney, some bayou, and this Ron zacapa). So far I like the plantation single cask Guatemalan and the Barbados 2005 the best, but I haven’t met a rum I don’t like.

Thanks. Although I don’t own a bottle of R.L. Seales, I forgot that I have tried it. I remember it being okay, but nothing that blew my skirt up.
Aside from the fact that it tastes so damn good, one thing I enjoy about rum is that everyone is chasing bourbon and that leaves a bunch of great rum on the shelves.

The last batch proof one was good, but was really hard to justify the price point to me.

Should we discuss the incoming EC Barrel Proof store picks that will be dropping sometime in the fall?

It’s that time of year. 1 oz pour from the anniversary bottle for the wife and I. Here’s why it’s important to save your corks, kids. This 2015 cork rotted out last year (hope that’s not a sign ha) and had to swap one in.
