I wasn't going to sell my shares on this news, I was going to stop loss my green positions because it sells off every earnings without fail. I'm long on it, and getting longer with every move they make. The timing of this was a dick move. Now we have to see what evaluation they put on GB for the dividend.

Well my stop loss got triggered yesterday at 5.2. So, I am completely out. I'll wait until the dust settles and see how this goes.

That announcement was a jack wagon move, it trapped folks like me that were going to monitor the normal earnings call sell off and secure our green position.

CEO letter detailing the spin off: LINK
short version, Your current shares will now be on the gun broker side and remain the same count, they will be issuing shares for the ammo side and you will receive shares equal to your current % of ownership of the company, share price to be determined.

What’s your positive or negative take on that?

I'm kind of down on their ceo. I know the ESG penalty for POWW but their lines are booked solid for the near term and the plant is more than paid for with the backlog and it should be at least double current evaluation (my opinion). I'd rather all my holdings be switched to the ammo side in the spinoff so I can divorce the ceo.

Yea, I may come back to the ammo side once the spinoff is done.

Anyone still own this? Pretty beaten down going into an election year. Added some shares.

I still have it. 2A stocks are streaky. I've averaged down all I care to and the next time it runs I'll jettison the entire position. I had the sell order in to dump it all when Fred dropped the "spin off gunbroker" news. So he's not my favorite CEO.

I have owned the preferred for at least two years. In it for the dividend

What do you guys think about buying a ton of ammo now and then just waiting for the next big event to sell?
Seems like it would work.

Both POWW and SWBI will run at some point next year. Just a matter of what price you get in at.
