If the brokerage houses and hedge funds can’t stop the bleeding, when does the covering start?

I'm new to all of this and started trading last week. Can someone explain what is supposed to make the price of game stop go to the moon tomorrow. Like how does it work when the contract date expires tomorrow.. what happens?
