Pelini wasn't a bad coach, he just was not the right fit for one reason or another. Jones is the complete opposite direction. He'll put our athletes where they need to be and he'll bring the energy.

There's is zero evidence for this. He may have presence, command respect from the athletes, fit in with the locker room, relate to recruits, and work well with the coaches. We can assume he is excellent at all of that. But we have zero evidence that he is competent at calling and strategizing Xs and O's at this level, because he's never, ever done it.

How exactly? and how is this known?
Looks Last team he was with that had a winning record was Dolphins under Gase in 2016.
