Arizona just went from two republican senators and voting for trump to two democrat senators and voting for Biden. if the AZGOP wants to double down on this path, by all means go for it.

When the AZ Dems appear to have gotten that control due to questionable voting practices, do you want someone that will investigate or do you want a state party that rolls over and takes it up the arse?
Because the latter is what the CA GOP has been since about 1994-1996 when Prop 187 passed then got shafted in court because Jerry Brown refused to defend it.

McCain did it solely out of spite. And reinforced the views of my relatives in AZ from long before 2008 that he was an a-hole who saw himself as “America’s senator” and not “Arizona’s senator.”
