You obviously don’t post on this board. He is extremely polarizing

quote:

He’s black, an alcoholic and a womanizer.
Tiger, in my opinion, obviously plays more to white people

Look, I don’t think it’s a big deal. People are drawn to life experiences and what they relate to. When white people saw Daly, they could relate. Everyone had someone in their family who was a good person that was ruined by alcohol

If Daly was black, and ghetto and not country, and was addicted to crack, he isn’t going to draw that relate ability

The real “conversation” that needs to be had is, yes, sometimes white people will see black people differently and vice versa as well, and it isn’t from some evil level

But we have gotten to the point where the left vilifies anyone who simply doesn’t stick their head in the sand to racial differences, and some on the right are so tired of it they know refuse to acknowledge anything ever happens revolving race

So you’re unilaterally deciding who the majority of people like and don’t like then making sweeping generalizations based on your theory?

This is getting downvoted to Hell and back but I kinda agree with him. There is some ability to identify with certain athletes and I think he picked a good analogy with John Daly. We’ve all gotten drunk on a golf course but we haven’t been able to make a career out of it. Until we quit being unable to even discuss race, we can’t move past it.

Black people do certain things more than white people. White people do certain things more than black people. Southerners are different than northerners. Californians suck politically.

Some things just ARE.

I think tribalism and racism have become intertwined. There was an article way back before this country lost its mind that gave a great example. A white person buying a Scalabrini Celtics jersey bc he looks like him isn’t an attack on black people BUT refusing to buy a jersey bc a player is black would be.
