He was never coming to LSU, he used LSU to get ND to sweeten the pot a little! It happens

No, you are wrong. He accepted the job before he left LSU to go back home. He even told his players he was going to take the LSU job.
However, his wife killed the deal because Baton Rouge is too far away from home. As the wife grew up right near the Notre Dame campus. In fact, her parents and her six kids' grandparents still live near the Notre Dame campus to this day.
Anyway, I can't say I blame him. As a happy wife equals a happy life.

So in your eyes talking to a coach means he was offered and turned it down? How old are you 12??

I would go the auburn route where, no matter whom you hire even if it is the 17th choice, come out and say every one on your search committee was leaky retards and claim whomever you hire was actually the first choice.

Face it, LSU is a problem destination for whatever reasons. Baton Rouge, Orgeron, investigations, combination of everything, who knows. You don't go this long without a DC with NSD right around the corner knowing your DC was going to be fired months ago without problems brewing up.
How about coaching for a man that within 3 years has fired Coordinators who were only here for ONE season. Worse than that, he cleaned house nearly across the board just one year removed from a natty. Sounds like a place you wanna tie your family and career to?

Wasn't the wife with him on the interview

She was and that's probably why she left once she got a look of BR

Was just asking because someone above said he told them he accepted the job and when he got back home she nixed it.

I got a simple question regarding these coaching searches that are under a cloud of potential NCAA penalties. How much do they have to tell the coach looking at the job and how much do they tell the agent beforehand.
If you are a potential DC candidate as an SEC coach do you reach out to at least get the skinny on what LSU is looking at penalty-wise, so if you don’t really take that job but use it to get a raise you still have great negative recruiting ammo?
If you are a team under that type of cloud at what point do you tell candidates? To early and essentially it’s now common knowledge on the recruiting trail and will hamstring your recruiting, too late and coaches feel blindsided.
Without knowing that there is no telling how many coaches either declined before it ever got started out of caution or declined/informed LSU that they were not a fit.

It’s not. Why would the offensive guys flock here and not defensive guys if it was title 9. I know it’s asking a lot for rantards to use their brains but let’s try just a little. O doesn’t get to fire everyone if title 9 was a legit issue.
