Despite the bitching, Obama presided over a very lucrative O&G time period. Not trying to give him credit or blame, but it’s one of the many examples of the facts being far different than the common political narrative.

He was also much tougher on immigration than Trump was, but you know.. Perception is reality.

I know you aren't arguing otherwise but this is purely a function of circumstance. The shale industry basically was born during his presidency (not because of or in spite of him), and China GDP was still easily growing double digits, which made for a much more favorable backdrop.

The setup now is a bit different IMO and a little less complicated. Basically Biden, acting as the puppet he is, is shooting a small but significant part of the industry for no reason.
