Question does this IMPLY LSU is winning in spite of Les and bc of the talent here? Cause that is what someone is trying to tell me that ranking says.

He was the best coach last year imo so therefore he retains his "best coach" title for this year. Until someone takes the NC from us, Les should be #1.

12th isn't bad

with his so-so success at his previous stop, it's pretty good. he's moving up big after last year

he's getting more respect for HIS talent b/c he's a great recruiter. he has gameday coaching problems and general roster strategy problems to overcome. and his reputation of being a coach who lets his players run wild is still with him from OSU

12th isn't bad at all. Even though I disagree with the order of the guys ahead of him.

But being ranked 12 out of 119 doesn't imply to me we are winning in spite of him. He has something to do with that success also.

I don't think I've ever heard people complain more about someone starting a running back that was picked in the 3rd round of the NFL draft.

Say what you will but I think Les' interview skills also lower his ranking. The media perceives him as being slow-witted b/c he struggles with public speaking.

kentucky fans rejoice while charles scott cries

arkansas fans do also, b/c miles refused to bench flynn in the 1st half

and it dates back to 2006 also. took way too long to get keiland in the game (we really saw it @ AU)

You think RP was suspended that game? I don't think he took a snap at all even with Flynn hurt.

Didn't we already have an entire thread on this subject?

In any event, these rankings will be much more meaningful in two or three years.

I think that's about right. He does a great job of putting together a staff. He's super badass though.

i think he was suspended, albeit unofficially

but this was violated in the SECCG when we needed him

what this shows me is that miles didn't want to bench flynn against arky. and i can kind of understand it, but flynn needed to settle the frick down. he was horrible early in that game

and RP needed to be in the UK game al ot more. flynn was horrible that game all game pretty much

Urban gets rewarded and put #1 for winning the NC with Zook's players. Pathetic.

i think 2004 has a lot to do with it. it isn't just 2006 and tebow's heisman in 2007

meyer was the coach of the best non-BCS team since BYU in 84, possibly the best ever

i dunno about that

when you look at the past 5 years and what he's done, and what he did at his "non-elite" school, he's got as good of an argument as anyone

2 BCS wins, 1 NC, 1 BCS conference title

les has a similar track record, but OSU was not at Utah's level. meyer gets points for what he did pre-UF
