I'm optimistic that the GOP takes back the House and Senate in 2022, and that in the meantime Covid takes up a lot of the Biden administration's time and energy that could be otherwise devoted to various deleterious initiatives, especially open borders. That's what is giving me hope. I think a Biden administration unfettered by Covid would be disastrous for this country.

I want Covid gone just as much as anyone, but while it's still here, you might as well look for the sliver lining.

He will just completely turn around because of a "guiding hand" that has been noticably absent from anything associated with biden for 50 years.

Unfortunately, it is not His hand that guides this administration or the uniparty.

Their orders come from elsewhere...

Also, it's not even about Trump anymore. It's an all out attack on conservatives from every angle.

I don't disagree - but flesh this out. Where are conservatives being attacked? Do those attacks have any realistic chance of silencing conservatism as an idea? I would make the case that the opposite is likely true.

I’m with you here. JB is enough center than far left that I can deal with. My fear is the far left gaining too much because the old man is feeble and weak. I worry about those really far left young progressives that only seem to be growing by the day pushing us to the brink of real disaster

OP You cannot really believe what you just wrote can you?

This attitude is exactly why we have Biden/Harris-

Did you ever consider God just took his hand off of America ? When our nation repents God will heal us.

Unity is not a goal in and of it self. You can be united for all the wrong things and the outcome much worse. Tension/division/squabbling..unless at war that’s our best bet. Delays “progress” which is a code word for deconstruction of western culture

The "guiding hand" doesn't always deliver the results that you want. The faith is in the fact that all governments are appointed by God and that His promises are permanent and true regardless of momentary tribulations.

Again, there are worse fates than death.

The only thing you and a real American have in common is faith in the Lord. Do I want unity? Sure. But not at the expense of giving up every moral conviction I have when the other side gives up none. The left says they want unity, but they refuse to do anything to create it. What they really want is for opposing opinions to lie down and make it easy for them. None of what you said makes sense anyway, bc Biden doesn’t have the mental capacity to call any shots. He’s a face that does what he’s told. He’ll soon be replaced.

Good points! The fringes of both parties have large megaphones. I'm with you in having more fear/anxiety due to the far left taking over the levers of power. Thankful that the founding fathers had the wisdom to create one hell of a mouse trap.

Does unity mean that we have forced compliance and "agree" on all issues (whether they are conservative or progressive)? I know that conservatives are fearful that the progressives are moving towards this.

You still have personal agency to make decisions and stand firm on the truth. No one said that having moral convictions in what makes America exceptional would be easy.

Is this a troll????

Biden can barely complete a sentence. He is the ultimate useful idiot for the radical left.

The Dems don’t want unity. They want complete capitulation from the right and death to anyone who doesn’t do so.

Cautiously Optimistic
about what? Biden/Harris will undo a lot of the good Trump did...they will raise taxes to fund their giveways and bailouts...the Paris Climate Accord is a farce since it lets China off the hook for 10 years. Iran will probably get to restart their nuclear ambitions.

Crime will continue to go up since criminals will be able to get away with stuff the couldn't get away with before.

Censorship of unpopular ideas will continue to grow.

Scary times...not sure how you can be optimistic.
